TERMS & CONDITIONS — TRUSTECHO

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the TrustEcho website and mobile application (“TrustEcho”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing or using TrustEcho, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

TrustEcho provides escrow and payment-protection services. We securely hold funds while buyers and sellers complete a transaction.

TrustEcho does not:

  • Buy or sell items

  • Deliver goods

  • Guarantee the quality of goods/services

We act solely as an independent third-party trust layer to ensure safe, verified transactions.

2. Eligibility

To use TrustEcho, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Provide accurate and truthful information

  • Complete identity verification when required

  • Use the platform for lawful purposes only

3. User Accounts

3.1 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
3.2 You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
3.3 We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraud, abuse, or policy violations.
3.4 You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Transaction Process

4.1 Creating a Transaction

The buyer and seller agree on the item or service, price, and delivery method.
The buyer secures funds through TrustEcho using Stripe.

4.2 Delivery Requirements

The seller must:

  • Deliver the item or service as agreed

  • Provide accurate tracking information or proof of delivery (if applicable)

For in-person exchanges, both parties must confirm completion in the app.

4.3 Buyer Confirmation

Once the item/service is received, the buyer confirms delivery in the app.

4.4 Automatic Release

If the buyer does not raise a dispute within 48 hours of delivery being marked,
funds are automatically released to the seller.

5. Fees

5.1 Transaction and service fees are displayed within the app.
5.2 Fees are deducted automatically and are non-refundable, except where required by law.
5.3 Users are responsible for their own bank or third-party fees.

6. Refunds & Disputes

6.1 Buyers may raise a dispute within 48 hours after the seller marks the transaction as delivered.
6.2 TrustEcho investigates disputes based on evidence provided by both parties.
6.3 Outcomes may include:

  • Refund to the buyer

  • Release of funds to the seller

  • Partial resolution

  • Closure due to insufficient evidence

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

  • Engage in fraud, deception, or misuse of the platform

  • Submit false delivery or tracking information

  • Attempt to bypass TrustEcho’s payment systems

  • Abuse, threaten, or harass users or staff

  • Interfere with platform security, functionality, or data

We may suspend or permanently remove any account that violates these rules.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 TrustEcho provides services on an “as-is” basis.
8.2 We are not responsible for losses arising from:

  • Misuse of the platform

  • Incorrect information provided by users

  • Failed or delayed deliveries

  • Issues caused by third-party services (e.g., Stripe, couriers)

8.3 Our total liability is limited to the amount of fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Data Privacy

Your data is handled according to the TrustEcho Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
By using TrustEcho, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined there.

10. Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms

  • Engage in fraud or suspicious activity

  • Fail identity verification

  • Threaten platform integrity or user safety

Users may also request account deletion by emailing support.

11. Changes to the Service or Terms

TrustEcho may update or modify these Terms for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Continued use of TrustEcho means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
Any disputes will be handled under Australian jurisdiction.
